A new milestone for Unit Trust of Fiji as we registered our new employer under the Employee Investment Scheme bringing our registered organizations to 108 in total. Fiji National University is the first university in Fiji to formalize its collaborations with Unit Trust of Fiji.
The agreement signed between the FNU's Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo Baba and UTOF's Chief Executive Officer Vilash Chand in Nasinu.
The agreements officially set in motion two pillars, FNU being the first University to be listed under the Employee Investment Scheme for the direct benefit for the staff and sets the platforms between the two institutions to explore, identify and establish co-investment opportunities with the University.
'The signing today also marks the beginning of collaborative initiative under the Employee Investment Scheme for our important employees. This agreement signifies commitment to the welfare and professional development of our valued staff members', said the FNU's Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo Baba.
She also added that as an educational institution, FNU understands the importance of investing in their human capital. The employees are at the heart of the institution and the growth and well-being are deeply essential to the mission to provide quality education and to contribute to the development of Fiji and the region.
More than hundred employees of Fiji National University can now benefit from the competitive tax-free returns by directly deducting from their salary towards their investments at UTOF. We look forward to fostering a future through sustainable investments with the employees of FNU.
